privacy gallery is a small but soulful curation of books, art, and objects from me to you.
It’s dedicated to the private spaces we create in order to nurture the person we share with the world.
The physical spaces we spend our time in, and the energetic spaces we create for ourselves to see clearly, and to listen.
Every piece in this collection is carefully chosen with this in mind.
I curate one-of-a-kind and hard-to-find things that in some small but meaningful way feel alive. They evoke the hand of their maker, nod toward nature, capture a sense of movement, speak through color, or celebrate the beauty of human messiness.
These pieces are mostly vintage and handmade. They have an original imperfection that’s been worn by time, and that’s their beauty.
I’m drawn to the flaws because they remind me both of my own absolute uniqueness and impermanence, but also my own ability to create — because I’m human and because I can.
They remind me of all the people out there who have these weird, idiosyncratic urges to create very specific things for reasons they cannot entirely understand. The urge to say “I am here” and I want to connect.
I find this instinct totally remarkable, and these are the people who renew my optimism for the world daily. The artists, craftsman, weekend hobbyists, writers, poets, musicians, performers, cooks, gardeners, collectors, soulful hoarders, beginner minds, and spiritual adventurers.
this space celebrates their human journey - and yours.
