I think this is a love it or hate it piece. My husband says it freaks him out, my sister says it looks like a Pokemon. Their comments had me second guessing for a minute but the longer this odd, one-of-a-kind ceramic bird sat in my general vicinity the more joy it brought me. The happy colors, the general aliveness — I don’t know. But whatever your opinion I can tell you this piece has a certified good energy and was made by someone who had a lot of talent and vision. Sadly I can’t quite make out the signature at the bottom — Bikey? Pikey? They are after my own heart whoever they are.
This pitcher seems to be functional if you want to have a funky little lunch party sometime (though the openings are small). Otherwise, put it anywhere you want a happy sculptural moment.
