These pieces were typically carved by artisans in the woodworking villages of Bali between the 1960s and 80s. I love it as a jewelry holder but it’s also just an incredible stand alone piece.
Materials: wood — appears to be Macassar Ebony or an exotic Rosewood

Condition: this is in excellent vintage condition — a felt bumper not original to the piece was added to the bottom to keep the piece level and sturdy (see photos) — additionally there was some hot glue residue on the bottom that I did my best to remove
