The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams, Hardcover
One of my favorite books ever. So much fun. So original. So light-heartedly profound which is the best kind of profundity. Just read the first page (included in photos). Don’t watch the movie — truly terrible. Apparently Douglas Adams was a crazy procrastinator with terrible writer’s block and there are stories of people locking him in a room with his typewriter to get him to finish things. You’d never know it. Is procrastination just a natural part of the creative process though? Have we turned it into a problem? Are we just adding resistance to resistance when we demonize it? I don’t know what do you think?
I love these old covers with the hitchhiker hand on them — it really captures the energy. This book is in excellent condition.
